I think it was Jackson Brown, Jr. who said 'I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle three things : a rainy holiday, lost luggage and tangled Christmas tree lights'. I of course handle all 3 of these occurrences extremely poorly . It came into my awareness recently that I also handle queues really poorly , the advancement of technology has deceived me into believing that all transactions can be conducted online, in the comfort of my armchair.

It dawned on me that the Universe has such a mischievous sense of humor, since I find myself standing in more queues lately which has encouraged me to strive to adopt the true mea

ning of be still! I am learning how to be unconditionally present, use the time at my disposal efficiently , breathe deeply, appreciate and be mindful of the present , practice gratitude, talk to people queuing with me and to smile more often.

I recently delivered a key note address at a Restorative Leadership lounge and listened in awe to the women who stood up to share with deep authenticity, vulnerability, forgiveness and love; their life's journey's which were a series of soul wrenching trials and tribulations. At that moment it dawned on me that I am blessed beyond measure and that I lack and have lacked nothing, my life is and has always been abundant. I vowed then to continue striving to pay it forward and to honor the scripture that reminds us 'For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required'.

I will be mindful of the advice from the late Louise Hay ' Everything I need to know is revealed to me. Everything that I need comes to me. All is well in my life.' And I will continue working with the Universe to remove tangled Christmas tree lights, rainy holidays , lost luggage and long queues from my path......and declare daily that all is indeed well with my life ...Shalom!
